Guam - The Guam Board of Allied Health Examiners has suspended Dr. Joel Joseph from practicing veterinary medicine on Guam for five years, effective immediately. The board and Dr. Joseph have been at odds with one another over the last several years over many different issues.

Joseph, who had recently moved to Fiji, was ordered to return to Guam to appear before the board last week for a disciplinary hearing. The veterinarian was being charged with stalking a member of the board and causing anxiety to board members after questioning their authority.

In a preliminary record of decision issued today against Dr. Joseph, the board voted unanimously that he surrender his license this afternoon, that he send the record of decision to every other jurisdiction in which he is or has been licensed to practice veterinary medicine and within 24 hours provide evidence  showing in fact that he did it, in 72 hours he's required to return all animals and their medical records in the custody of the Wise Owl Animal Hospital to either their owners or other licensed veterinarians on Guam.

And finally Dr. Joseph has been ordered to remove the Wise Owl Animal Hospital sign from its premises with 24 hours.
