Guam - The Guam Animals in Need facility in Yigo received some much needed TLC this week. According to Home Depot general manager Rhett Garon, his company was one of the major partners looking to remodel the shelter.

He told KUAM News, "It's amazing what these guys do on a daily basis with a limited funds and resources that they have. The true miracle is how they run this place and how well they run it day in and day out. For us to come out here and contribute one day of our time and effort, that's pretty small on our part; but we wanted to give back where we could."

80 volunteers painted, installed roofing, and refurbished kennels, the cat house, and the office and learning center.  Some of the other companies that participated in the remodeling project included Pacific Trucking, Chugach, Matson, Fence Master, Pespi Cola, Sign Makers and Hilton Hotels and Resorts.
