Guam - Guam Delegate Madeleine Bordallo joins her party in asking Governor Eddie Calvo to reconsider his position on Bill 413, legislation to reform the island's election laws. Governor Calvo on Thursday said he planned on vetoing the bill implying it was about partisan politics.

The measure includes a provision to conduct an audit and reconciliation of the ballots in the 2010 General Election. The election is currently at the center of a legal challenge filed by Calvo's former opponents in that race, Carl Gutierrez and Frank Aguon, Jr. Bordallo in a statement said Bill 413 is an important step toward improving a flawed election process that was highlighted by the Guam Election Commission's sub-committee report on irregularities with the November 2010 election.
