Guam - It was supposed to be tuna sandwich, instead it was tuna surprise. KUAM News confirmed that an investigation is underway into an incident that occurred Monday morning at M.U. Lujan Elementary School in Yona. A student found a baby lizard on his tuna sandwich spread that was served for breakfast.
According to school principal Daisy Ramirez, although they believe it was an isolated incident, cafeteria workers switched to serving students cereal and milk. Department of Education food contractor Sodexo Services Guam, DOE Food and Nutrition, and Public Health are investigating.
Last week lunch was pulled at Maria Ulloa Elementary School after students complained of undercooked meat.
