Guam - A third defendant has pleaded guilty to being involved in a drug-trafficking conspiracy with Mateo Sardoma Jr, Rudy Sablan, and others. Christopher Mesa (aka, "Bobat"), pleaded guilty in the District Court.
According to the plea agreement, Mesa also admitted that he used a gun to restrain an individual with Sardoma and Sablan during the kidnap and torture of a man who was believed to have stolen one pound of crystal methamphetamine from Sardoma. He has agreed to cooperate with federal authorities.
Mesa faces a mandatory minimum of 20 years behind bars because of a prior drug conviction. He remains in the custody of U.S. Marshals while he awaits a status hearing scheduled for June 12.
