Former DYA worker has trial in June
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - Former Department of Youth Affairs youth services worker Joseph Mesgnon is scheduled to go to trial in June. Mesgnon is accused of providing tobacco and leniency to some male minors in exchange for sexual favors.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges. There were some attempts to draft a plea agreement but those did not pan out and today Superior Court Judge Anita Sukola made it clear that the trial will begin on June 25. Mesgnon has been on pre-trial release and is currently employed at Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr.'s office.
