Guam - The Department of Education's operations are about to become more transparent. DOE project manager Adriana Luna says Munis by Tyler Technologies is a new financial management information system that will replace the 20-year-old system DOE presently uses. Munis allows for enhanced writing capabilities, more efficient workflow processes, and sophisticated management internal controls.

Ultimately, Munis will help the department rebuild its financial credibility and increase transparency to stakeholders. Phase I of Munis is set for April 2012 when financials go live.
