Salvation Army aims to raise $100K this season

Guam - With the holidays around the corner, the Salvation Army is looking for volunteers for their annual Bell Ringing Campaign. According to development coordinator April Manibusan, last year's bell ringers raised $49,000 for the non-profit organization.
She said, "The funds that are raised, they all go back to the community. We purchase canned goods, we purchase toys, we have families that come in and at this time they don't have the resources. Unemployment is high; they don't have enough funds to provide toys for their kids."
Manibusan says this year's goal is to raise $100,000. To volunteer for a two-hour shift, call kettle coordinator Judy Ayuyu at 477-9878.
