Guam - The Guam Community College's board of trustees are schedule to meet this evening. According to assistant director of communications and promotions Jayne Flores, the meeting will include discussion on the school's financial status.
She told KUAM News, "We are dealing right now with the order from Adelup to set aside 15% of our 2012 fiscal year budget, and it's a strain for us as it is for every other government agency. We are handling it and we're grateful it came at the beginning of the year when we have a chance to budget what we're going to do."
It was earlier this year that GCC raised the cost of tuition. Also on the agenda are the school's ongoing construction projects, which include the completion of the new student center to be unveiled in December.
