No progress with CBA

Guam - According to Guam Education Board chairperson Francis Santos, the Guam Federation of Teachers was supposed to submit its list of potential local mediators yesterday. Last week GFT president Matt Rector found several conflicts with the board's list of potential mediators.
Despite failing to submit a list, Santos says they'll continue to wait for the GFT but in the meantime the board has submitted a request to the U.S. Department of Labor for a mediator. As we reported negotiations for a new teachers contract has ceased until the two entities can resolve their differences with the help of on outside party.
The current contract with the union expires on November 6. Rector was unavailable for comment.
