Bill suppresses secretive voting
Guam - Republican Senators Tony Ada, Aline Yamashita and Minority Leader Sen. Frank Blas Jr. have introduced legislation that would prohibit secret voting by Government of Guam boards and commissions. The legislation follows a vote by the Guam Education Board two weeks ago for the new superintendent of Education. The board did not release the results of the tabulations between the two finalists namely Vince Leon Guerrero and Salvador Avilla. Senator Rory Respicio also sent a letter to Superintendent Taling Taitano requesting she release the results from the secret voting.
