Guam - An oversight hearing will be held tomorrow bringing together agencies to speak on the status of youth rehabilitation and treatment services. Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz says several topics will be discussed including juvenile justice, children's mental health services, adolescent substance abuse program and suicide prevention.

"Youth services aren't being given the attention that I believe it should be given," he said, "I believe they should be number one because they'll eventually become adults and if we don't take care of them, there will be more aggravated problems as adults."

Cruz adds he wants updates on various groups that cater to youth services including Rays of Hope and I Famagu'on-ta and learn of the challenges they might face. The hearing is set for Wednesday morning at 9 in the Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
