Guam - Although the bond battle to pay past due tax refunds may have ended with the 31st Guam Legislature's passage of Bill 1-3-S, a class action lawsuit continues in the District Court of Guam and this Tuesday we'll see some traction on the case filed by Rea and Jeffrey Paeste and Sharon Zapanta.

The three are hoping the federal judge will order GovGuam to pay all past due tax refunds and to establish a fair and equitable policy for the payment of tax refunds for emergency purposes.  The government has filed a motion to dismiss which the plaintiffs are opposing.

A preliminary pretrial conference is scheduled for this Tuesday, September 20.
