Guam - Adelup says they'll be gathering more information to determine if the $500,000 from the DOI for new ambulances is funding that is available for the current fiscal year or the next. Governor's deputy press secretary Phill Leon Guerrero says the Administration is open to any ideas to address the immediate needs of the Government of Guam.

"There's a lot of information that still needs to be gathered as far as the Administration is concern, how soon these monies will be available, whether or not we will need to compete for these monies and the immediate concern of this administration is the people deserve more than three ambulances running," he said.

Adelup will also review whether the funding will negate the need to lease out ambulance services, something they proffered as a temporary fix to the Guam Fire Department's critical shortage of ambulances.
