Guam - Out of four companies that responded the Department of Education is currently in negotiations with one that has been selected to provide food services for the island's public schools. The deadline to respond to the food services contract proposal was last Friday.

According to DOE Deputy Superintendent of Finance Taling Taitano, the winning company will be announced once contract negotiations are completed. One of the new clauses doe plans to build into the contract is a clause that in the event the contractor can't provide services for whatever reason they must bear the burden of finding a substitute provider.
