Guam - There is an alarming increase in burglaries in the village of Agana Heights that have been reported in the past week. Village mayor Paul McDonald put out an alert to his community that his office has been receiving calls about residential and vehicle break-ins.

While McDonald says the residents did contact police about the incident, he urges the community to report any suspicious activity in their area. "We had to send out the notices to make sure to be aware and put away things that will not invite these people that are going out and looking, they are like shopping when nobody's home. So you got to keep your goods away and hide them, clean your yard and make sure the other people can see from next door," said the mayor.
