Guam - Senator Frank Blas, Jr. has asked the Attorney General of Guam to review the possibility of pursuing legal action against the federal government to make war reparations a reality for Guam's World War II survivors. The minority leader wants the AG to provide a legal review for a possible claim using the compensation that was provided to Japanese-American internees and their heirs as a guide.

He believes there are grounds for a lawsuit because the civil liberties of war survivors and their heirs appear to have been violated.

The senator will also be writing to the secretaries of Defense and Interior asking that they consider supporting or recognizing this issue.
