Guam - The Federal Highway Administration's Rochelle Tacara will be on island this week for a regular visit. One of the issues to be discussed will be the Route 2 project that has been halted. The Department of Public Works fired the contractor, Hubtech, after they were found in violation of local and federal regulations.

DPW will meet with the bond company Alpha Insurers this week to discuss their findings of the project. Discussions with the FHA will determine who will pay the contractor for the minimal work that was completed on the project that should have been finished last December.
