Guam - A police officer who had been placed on administrative leave for 20 days on the suspicion of drug use has returned to work. The officer had been absent from duty for several days, which prompted the investigation. The Guam Police Department has not confirmed if the officer tested positive for drugs or if there was another reason for the absence.

While the investigation continues, GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia confirms the officer was transferred out of the Criminal Investigation Division and is now working at the Crime Lab, being trained as a crime scene investigator.

The officer's badge and weapon have also been returned.
