Local jobs grew in 4Q2010

The report noted that construction employment dipped slightly for the second consecutive quarter while increases in employment were seen in hotel services, the federal government and the Government of Guam.

Guam - The Department of Labor issued its quarterly Employment Report for December 2010, and according to the findings the total number of jobs on Guam increased by 2.2%, as has total employment, which increases slightly by less than a single percent, which was mainly attributed increased visitor arrivals.

The report noted that construction employment dipped slightly for the second consecutive quarter while increases in employment were seen in hotel services, the federal government and the Government of Guam.
