Guam - The Consolidated Commission on Utilities is narrowing its list of applicants for the Guam Waterworks Authority general manager position. While 38 people applied for the job, only 29 were deemed qualified.

The CCU will interview the top four applicants this Friday. Three of the applicants are from off island while one is a local resident. The GWA job has been vacant since former general manager Dr. Leonard Olive resigned after a mutual agreement with the commission to end his contract early.

The CCU is hopeful a selection will be made in the next few weeks.
