Guma Mami owed more than $100,000
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - The non-profit Guma Mami organization is owed more than $100,000 from services provided to the government. Executive Director Bernie Grajek says the organization was unable to make payroll on Monday because of the non-payment. At the end of the day, Guma Mami received a check for more than $40,000 that Grajek says is enough to make payroll.
Employees will get their checks on monday. In the meantime the organization is still pushing to get the remaining money that is owed to pay utilities and other expenses.
