Law enforcement won't get third increment
by Nick Delgado
Guam - Law enforcement personnel will not be getting the third increment for the 10 percent pay raises. A Guam Attorney General response to the Superior Court concludes that there is no such appropriation authorizing the pay. The response, signed by Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Orcutt, additionally states that the proposed class action should not be certified because it is vague and has failed to include other director's of the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Public Works, the Department of Youth Affairs and the Department of Military Affairs as respondents.
In the meantime, a show cause hearing on the matter is scheduled for December 16.
