Guam - Matson Navigation Company announced it will raise its rates for the company's Guam and Micronesia services for westbound and eastbound containers by $120 beginning January 30, 2011.  Ocean Services Senior Vice President Dave Hoppes says the rate increase is going to help offset rises in operating costs and support ongoing investments in Guam and Micronesia services, such as investing in the Polaris Point off-dock facility in support of the military buildup.

In the last seven years, the company has invested more than $600 million to upgrade its fleet, equipment and technology.
