Guam - The Judiciary of Guam unveils a new specialty court today, the Driving Under the Influence or While Intoxicated Court, to ensure that there is not a delay in the filing of cases against DUI offenders.  The court intends to place an emphasis on rehabilitating offenders through customized treatment programs.

Participants will undergo treatment and counseling and first-time offenders will be adjudicated faster in hopes to reduce the number of pending and uncharged cases. Judge Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson will preside over the new therapeutic court that received federal funding to make the program possible.
