Guam - Don't be alarmed if the water at your local beach looks bright green or yellow. Federal waste receiver Gershman, Brickner & Bratton is conducting a study using a non-toxic, biodegradable dye to trace the path of water discharged from the Inarajan Wastewater Facility to marine waters.
It's part of GBB's plans to fund improvements to the Inarajan Wastewater Plant to ensure it can handle the increased demand on the plant once the Layon landfill is opened and new homes are built once the new sewer line is completed. The study - weather permitting - is scheduled to run from September 7-14, affecting the waters between Inarajan Bay, Guaifan Point, and Pauliluc Bay.
