Guam - Guam hasn't had a large earthquake in quite sometime, but at around 7:19 this morning, a temblor registering 7.2 on the Richter Scale occurred, according to data from the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake occurred 230 miles to the west-southwest of Hagatna and 340 miles to the W-SW of Saipan.  Because of the distance and depth, no effects were felt locally and no damages ensued.

The Office of Civil Defense notes that no tsunami watches are in effect.
