Guam - $2,000,000 will be sent Guam's way to combat the brown tree snake.  That announcement was made today by Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Insular Areas Tony Babauta, who says Guam's ecosystem has been devastated by the pesky serpent.  He added that it is important to address this invasive species on the island without spreading and destroying other island communities.

The money will be used to step up current local brown tree snake operations including trapping and bait delivery methods, facility renovations and a public awareness campaign.
