Guam - The two-day "Hita I Marianas - America's Future in Asia Conference" in San Diego, California begins tomorrow.  Guam governor Felix Camacho and CNMI governor Benigno Fitial are among those scheduled to give remarks.  Tomorrow's agenda includes discussions from Joint Guam Program Office Director David Bice, who will discuss the importance of the Marianas to America's defense in Asia. 

Marine Corps Pacific Division Deputy Commander for Plans, Policies and Operations Director Brian Wood is scheduled to present the role of the Marine Corps in the military buildup.  The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Consolidated Commission on Utilities chairman Simon Sanchez, the Guam Economic Development Authority, the Department of the Interior and Naval Facilities Command Marianas are also expected to present during the forum. 

On Thursday (Guam time), the conference will conclude with a Marianas employment opportunities fair for those residents living in San Diego who may be interested in returning home to Guam or the CNMI for employment opportunities associated with the buildup.
