Guam - Steven Vincent Zapata will go to trial in July.  He was indicted by a federal grand jury on a single charge of making a false statement.  Zapata who was released from federal custody just three days ago appeared in court this afternoon and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

He was under investigation for more than a week to determine whether he had ties to terrorism, but the feds evidently couldn't prove that. In an exclusive television interview with KUAM News, Zapata he told us he came to Guam to be a tourist and get a job here. Zapata came to Guam after spending a month in Pakistan.

He is accused of lying to immigration and customs enforcement agents about how many bags he brought with him to territory.
