Guam - 56-year-old Bruce Carey Wood was sentenced to ten years behind bars in the island's first Military Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Act case.  Wood was a Department of Defense civilian employee who was brought to Guam last year to answer to criminal charges. 

Wood was a cook at Camp Shield naval base in Okinawa, Japan and was charged with aggravated sexual abuse and sexual abuse of a minor, accused of sexually assaulting a male minor on numerous occasions for the last nine years. He pleaded guilty to the charges and will spend the next decade behind bars and then three years on supervised release.
