Taitague proposes methane recovery plan
by Nick Delgado
Guam - Senator Telo Taitague introduced legislation that would authorize the Department of Public Works to create a feasibility plan for the installation of a commercial methane recovery system of the Layon landfill. Bill 310 states that the study will include the return investment on a government built and operated methane recover systems, private public partnerships, and the use of methane for electrical power generation.
If signed into law, the legislature will then have 180 days to consider the plan.
