Olongapo City Mayor James Gordon and lawmakers signed the Guam–Olongapo Sister City agreement during a ceremony at the legislature today.

The agreement, at the request of Senator Eddie Baza Calvo and Yona Mayor Pedo Terlaje, is expected to be the catalyst for a growing partnership between Guam and the city in the Philippines that was once host to one of the largest U.S. military installations in the region. Mayor Gordon says this will be a fruitful relationship.
