The streets of Tumon should be busier than usual this weekend, as the island sees more visitors from Japan.  Silver Week is here - and that means vacation time for many in the Land of the Rising Sun.

A majority of hotels on the island report that they are either at, or near capacity, from tonight through Tuesday.  Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association chairman and Fiesta Hotel general manager Jeffrey Schweizer said, "Already in September we are up a little bit in arrivals from Japan, which is such a nice change. Probably year to date, we are 8% or 9% behind, and this month I think we are about 9% to 10% above arrivals from last year."
