Two Guam Department of Education schools have passed Public Health inspections: Upi Elementary School and H.B. Price Elementary School.

While both Upi and Price maintain “C” ratings from Public Health, GDOE noted improvements in the amount of demerits earned from this year’s inspection.

Upi Elementary went from 34 demerits to 28, while H.B. Price dropped from 31 to 27.

GDOE released the following statements in light of the encouraging results, “GDOE extends its sincere appreciation to the dedicated Totots staff, whose daily efforts have been instrumental in ensuring the health and safety of the campus. The department also recognizes the GDOE facilities and maintenance division for its consistent support and hard work in addressing facility needs and implementing improvements that contributed to this positive outcome.”

“GDOE commends the administration, faculty, and staff of H.B. Price Elementary for their commitment to maintaining a secure and supportive educational environment. The school continues to uphold high standards in sanitation, ventilation, food safety, and emergency preparedness, while proactively working to improve overall campus conditions,” they added.
