They may be young, but they’re already leading with heart.  This week’s Giving Every Tuesday highlights the Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program interns, who are launching a back-to-school donation drive to support Guam’s youth in need.

From notebooks and pens to socks, toiletries, and first-aid kits, these teens are calling on the community to come together and donate essential items to help students start the school year with confidence.

It’s an islandwide effort that’s all about giving back and giving hope. The drive will benefit long-standing nonprofits like Sanctuary of Guam, Harvest House, and the Department of Youth Affairs, organizations that continue to serve some of our island’s most vulnerable youth.

Donations will be accepted from July 16 through July 18 at any government agency or the Guam State Clearinghouse at Adelup. Interns have also been encouraged to organize drop-offs within their own agencies.

It’s more than just supplies - it’s about showing every child that they matter. That they’re seen, supported, and never alone.

This is the spirit of service. This is the power of youth.
