A traffic stop turned into a high-speed chase and a jungle manhunt — all over a motorcycle with no plates.  Authorities say 35-year-old Jay Leonilo Pocaigue took off from police in Yona on May 20, dodging traffic signs and making sharp turns before his bike gave out.

Police say Pocaigue admitted he didn’t have a license — but before they could cuff him, he bolted on foot, disappearing into nearby jungle after diving out of a relative’s shack.

Officers searched the area but came up empty.

Days later, on Sunday, police finally caught up with him — not for the chase, but for one of two active warrants already out for his arrest. And this time, there was no running. Pocaigue told police, “I’m sorry, sir. I just didn’t want to go to jail.”

He now faces multiple charges, including eluding police and reckless driving.
