Judiciary passes resolution for employee pay bump
In light of the governor's repeated calls to have her 22 percent pay increase bill addressed by the legislature, the judiciary already has a plan in place should the measure become law.
The Judicial Council recently passed a resolution that proposes a 15 percent bump in pay for its employees under the general pay plan structure.
The council also approved a resolution for a 10 percent pay increase for judiciary law enforcement officers.
The 15% and 10% pay raises are estimated to cost $1,049,263 and $500,000, respectively.
Officials say the proposals intend to align with the executive branch.
These proposals are contingent on the passage of the governor’s bill.
