With the help of the Armed Forces Entertainment group in partnership with the USO, soldiers on island got to meet Meisha Tate and Brandon Vera as part of their One Championship Tour. KUAM Sports caught up with the 2 MMA stars and asked them about giving back to the troops.

Tate said, "I love visiting the military bases because I have the upmost respect for the people who want to defend what I'm so privileged to live with every day. The freedom and the fact that they would put their lives on the line to protect that honor of our country. I have the upmost respect for these people so I love any opportunity that I get to come out and visit the military, I'm all about it."

Vera added, "All my brothers were military, almost all of my uncles were military so it's in our blood. What Meisha said. These military service members, our brothers and sisters in arms. They sign on the dotted line to become a G.I and it's really hard to explain what that entails until you have to put the uniform on.

"The easiest way for me to explain it to I guess our friends around the world is for them to sign up and protect our freedoms at the drop of a hat to go anywhere in the world on call 24/7. They sign on the dotted line to basically give up their life if needed for you for me and for our kids and for America. So anytime I get a chance to do anything with any military personal I'm game. It could be USO and it could just me going to the base and it could be me just speaking outside of the base I'm in. All our military members around the world, I love you guys I love you women. Thank you for what you do and I'm glad we can be here to hang out with you."
