Brandon Acosta appeared in the superior court this afternoon.

He had already confessed to murdering 15-year-old Timicca Nauta last year, but today in Superior Court he pleaded not guilty to a new charge of rape.

The teen's aunt, Gries Inger, along with her family was at Superior Court for the Acosta's arraignment. The man that confessed to killing her 15-year-old niece.

"I'm sorry but you know God tells us to forgive, but it's hard right now," she told KUAM News. "It's hard because we can't see her, we can hug her, we cant give her a kiss, shes not there to talk to us, shes not there at all. We will never see her again. She will be in our hearts and memory, but it's not the same."

In June of last year, Timicca was found dead in her bedroom after a burglary at her home in Dededo. Acosta was taken into custody in October in her death.

"You cannot bring that person back and for you to say you are not guilty, you are guilty, we all know it you confessed it," Inger said. "And these new charges... you say your demons are absolved, you did not admit to that."

On Friday an indictment filed additional charges against Acosta with first, second and third degree criminal sexual conduct, each with a special allegation of possession or use of a deadly weapon, and according to court documents, he committed the sexual contact during the aggravated assault.

Acosta pleaded not guilty to these new charges. And Timicca's auntie has this message to share to Acosta.

"You did that horrendous thing to her and you still say you didn't mean to," Inger said. "Yes you meant to because you had the intention, you had the evil in your heart already that night, you came over and you hurt our family, what you did was wrong. You took away someone who is very precious to us, why you don't deserve to be dead, you know why, because when you are dead you don't feel anything, I want you to feel every pain we are going through as a family."

Acosta's next court date is July 25 at 9:30 a.m. before Judge Vernon Perez.

We should also note that although he confessed to her murder he pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated murder and home invasion.
