Rev & Tax still on fire watch

The Department of Revenue & Taxation in Barrigada Heights remains on fire watch status. Two months the Guam Fire Department put the agency on notice because its fire protection system was not working and hadn't been for an unspecified amount of time.

DRT pays about $1 million in rent every year. GFD says the fire protection company hired by the building's owner, JoeTen Enterprises.

GFD spokesperson Cherika Chargualaf says they are making great progress and that some components that are custom-built have been ordered.
