Live Ordnance Found at Agat Marina

Posted: Updated:

The Navy’s Explosive Ordnance Team is responding to a report of a live ordnance discovered at the Agat Marina. Guam Fire Department spokesperson Kevin Reilly says the marina has been evacuated and entry is being prohibited from the shore. He adds the US Coast Guard will be restricting entry from the waterside.

KUAM News received this photo of what appears to be a package with a cell phone attached sitting on top of an orange container owned by the Port Authority of Guam. It is not clear what is inside the package. Police spokesperson Paul Tapao says all lanes along Route 2 near the marina are closed off.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. (viewer submitted photo)
