Posted: Updated:

If you or a loved one are battling cancer, there's a special Mass for you.

Starting Wednesday, the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica will offer weekly devotion Mass to St. Peregrine, the patron saint for those suffering from cancer.

An inaugural Mass is set for Wednesday, January 9 at 6 p.m. for a blessing of the statue.

Attendees will receive comfort crosses made from olive wood from the Holy Land and St. Peregrine prayer cards.

Confession will be offered before each mass as well as an anointing of the sick.

For more information, call the Pastoral Center at 477-6201.
