Free Kids Fishing Derby this Saturday at the War in the Pacific National Park in Asan. Make sure to register before noon Friday to get out there and compete for some prizes. Categories include longest fish, longest trigger fish and most fish caught.

Brent Tibbatts with DAWR said, "If you would like to register for the derby we are still taking registrations up until noon on Friday. You can come to the Department of Agriculture and bring proof of age for the participant. It's for ages 7-12 years old. On the day of the derby you have to bring a fishing pole and we would like to ask some sort of sun protection. A hat or shirt or sun block and stay hydrated. We will have a lot of drinks and food there for the kids to stay hydrated and fed. But make sure you stay hydrated while you are fishing."

For more info call Department of Agriculture at 735-0281/0289/0294
