Following today's historic summit between the leaders of the United States and North Korea, President Donald Trump's travels back to America could include a stopover here in Guam.

Trump's plane scheduled to leave Singapore around 9pm our time. Andersen Air Force Base officials say they are aware of the schedule for President Trump to make a stop in the territory. However, military officials here have directed all questions from the media to the White House.

The flight from Singapore is roughly six hours long, which means he could be here sometime after 3 o'clock Wednesday morning.

At this time, there are no plans for the president to go off base, as his stop is expected to only be less than a couple of hours. This would make Trump's first scheduled stop to the territory.

During the rhetoric between North Korea last August, he assured Governor Eddie Calvo that he is behind Guam 1 thousand percent. The personal call then bringing relief as Calvo said he never felt so safe and is confident with him at the helm.

The administration today saying there is also no confirmation at this point if the governor or lt governor will meet with Trump.

Additionally, the military says there are no plans to allow the media access onto the base during his arrival. And if all goes as scheduled the president leave to Hawaii before going to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, concluding his trip then at the White House.

Governor Calvo responded to the events today stating, "In 2013 and again last year, we were the target of missile threats. Today, the promise of peace in the region draws closer, and we can breathe easier."
