Dennis Rodman appears at summit

One of Kim Jong Un's closest friends former NBA star Dennis Rodman also showed up in Signapore during the scheduled summit.

Rodman visited Guam last December, just months after the direct threat from the North was made towards Guam.  It was during his trip to the territory he offered to be a mediator for the two world leaders.

"I was surprised right, I'm here right, and just happened to be here, and I'm glad it's happening. I took five years of waiting to see what's going on. I hope this turn out to be well, that's why I'm here," he said.

In a separate interview, Rodman was emotional over the historic meeting recalling how his friendship with Kim resulted in death threats.

Rodman though was reportedly not involved in talks at the summit.
