Utility agencies could use drones for system inspections

The Guam Power Authority and The Guam Waterworks Authority may be looking into the use of drones.

It was the second in a series of meetings with Senator Wil Castro, where GPA expressed their interest in using the drones to assist in monitoring and assessing their critical infrastructure.

Last month Castro introduced Bill 155 which seeks to regulate the use of drones throughout the island particularly areas considered sensitive and high security.

Castro's next working session is with the Guam Chamber of Commerce, drone hobbyists and commercial service providers.
