Emilio Ayuyu is an island healer who was recognized by the Guam Legislature for his commitment to perpetuating traditional healing practices in Guam and the Mariana Islands.  Senator Tina Muna Barnes announced, "To further extending an Un Dangkolo Na Si Yu'us Ma'ase to him for guiding and teaching aspiring traditional medical practitioners to carry on this cultural tradition."

Ayuyu was born in 1953 and learned traditional medicine through his grandparents. He eventually assisted with the publication of the Directory of Traditional Healers and Medicinal Plants in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, served as a master yo'amte with the Haya Foundation, an instructor at the University of Guam, and was instrumental in teaching apprentices how to cultivate their medicinal plants.
