HOT JOB OPENING: KUAM news videographer

KUAM is Guam's largest broadcast firm and has immediate openings for news photographer. Qualified applicants must possess great visual storytelling abilities, work under pressure and against tight deadlines, and be an outstanding communicator.

Applicants must be able to lift and carry equipment including a videocamera, lighting, tripod and other production equipment. 

Candidates must be self-starters, focused, work on weekends and nightshifts, and intent on delivering the best show possible. Previous experience a plus, but we will train the right person.

    Prison upgrades in the works

    Progress at the prison, as they continue to deal with overcrowding. DepCor Director Kate Baltazar says upgrades are in the works. They just received their electronic locking mechanisms and doors, which are in the process of being installed. She adds they haven't used one of the four dome units for some time, but new roofing is going up so that all the units there can be used for the prison population.
