Guam - It was earlier this year that the Guam Waterworks Authority's certification was in question as the agency failed to identify a water sample that was preloaded with E. Coli and total coliform but it appears they are now headed in the right track.

GEPA administrator Eric Palacios said, "It looks like they have successfully passed the performance test so what that means is once EPA is done with their overall compliance audit we will be issuing GWA a recertification for its lab."

GEPA must ensure that the condition of the compliance audit are met such as internal, standard operating procedure and sampling methods. Once confirmed Palacios says GWA will be a USEPA and GEPA certified lab in about a week or two.
